At Reading Matters, individualized reading therapy sessions are developed to meet the specific needs of each student.  These one-on-one sessions require a commitment of 55 to 60 minutes twice a week, providing the student the focus and attention needed to reach his or her potential.  Various programs are utilized and enhanced with creative methods to ensure that a student’s learning style is accommodated.  The use of the most successful methods and interactive lessons makes the sessions interesting and fun.  A testing session is required prior to the start of individual reading therapy in order to develop a personalized learning plan.

While consistency is highly recommended in any educational program, Reading Matters does not require contracts; however, because time is reserved for each student one month in advance, payment is due prior to that month’s sessions.

As an additional service to her students, Cheryl will attend and participate in outside consultations regarding the student’s academic development and performance, such as IEP (Individualized Education Program) reviews.
